We're
thrilled you've decided to join MotherSpirit.
When you complete this form and send it in, our Registration
Housekeeper will post it in our Mailbox. We open to new applications for 30 days beginning with an announcement in the
Front Door, then close again while we spend the next 30 days getting to know our applicants in the public forums and
voting on their applications. Thus, it may be up to two months before you find out if your application was accepted.
However, you should get an e-mail within a few days of submitting your application verifying that we received it.
There is no set schedule by which we open for applications. We spend the time between open periods getting to know our newest members and dealing with administrative issues. When the community feels that we are ready to welcome new members, we begin another 30-day open period. We vote on all applications within two months of receiving them, then welcome 2 new members per month in the order their applications were received. This may mean a few months' wait before new members can actually join in the private forums, but it helps us to get to know each other without being overwhelmed by admitting too many new members at once.
We have several public forums that are open to all. We ask that if you desire to become a MotherSpirit member, post in our public rooms. This way we can get to know you, and you us. While the application below is meant to give us a little information about you, your posting in the public rooms will help us establish a relationship with you and also shows that you have a true interest in being a participating member of our community. If you apply and do not post, or rarely post, you will probably get an e-mail asking you to become a more active participant and then reapply during our next open period. We will retain your application and reconsider it then if you so request.
This form is voluntary... you can fill out as much or as little as you like except that you must provide your name, your e-mail address and preferred username. Please note that our community is a small and tight-knit one. We will ask anyone who registers using a "free" e-mail account (i.e., hotmail, yahoo...) to provide us with a valid e-mail address.
